LIVE UPDATES: Henri Downgraded To Tropical Storm, Makes Landfall

As Hurricane Henri approaches landfall on Long Island in New York, we will be keeping our readers appraised on the latest news on the massive storm.

Update 12:40pm: Henri has made landfall near the Connecticut/Rode Island border, bringing strong winds and rain to the area. For now, NYC is only seeing persistant rain.

Update: As Henri’s rain begins to hit NYC, the women’s section of 770 joins other Crown Heights buildings and homes with a major leak and flood.

Update: Henri has been reduced from a Category 1 Hurricane to a Tropical storm, meaning that the maximum sustained winds are now 70MPH down from 75MPH.

Update: Hurricane Henri has turned slightly East, out towards the ocean, reducing the impact of the storm on New York City slightly.
