After a tense night and lots of emotional rollercoasters, the winner of the 2020 election for the President of the United States is still not 100% decided. In fact, the race is so close that no winner can accurately be predicted.
While many ballots are still uncounted, including many mail-in and contested ballots, the 270 electoral votes needed to win the election for president appear to in reach for both candidates.
Races across the country may still remain unofficial as final counts, mail-in ballots, and lawsuits are combed through and decided.
Both candidates made announcements in the early hours of the morning, with Biden announcing that the race isn’t over until the last ballot has been counted, and Trump announcing a fight to the end with claims that the Democrats stole the election.
The coming days will remain tense, as voters and agitators remain in suspense as to the winner of the election remains unknown.
