Large Explosion Levels Homes in Baltimore, One Dead and Three Critically Injured

A large blast leveled homes outside the Jewish area of Baltimore, Maryland.

The explosion took place on the 6500 block of Reisterstown Road in Northwest Baltimore Monday morning, trapping at least five people under the rubble according to the local fire department.

Firefighters responding to the scene managed to free multiple people from the rubble, with only one having sustained fatal injuries, whole three others were listed as critical according to local reports.

While the cause of the blast is not yet known, officials from Baltimore Gas and Electric and the Baltimore office of emergency management are reportedly on scene.
