The Rebbes Car Repaired in Time for Gimmel Tammuz

Gimmel Tammuz in the early afternoon R. Binyomin Klein stopped by Everything Automotive [our advertiser] on East New York Ave in order to pick up his Cadillac, the one in which he drove the Rebbe to the Ohel for a number of years.

The car was involved in an accident a few months ago which rendered the car a total loss due to the extensive damage it sustained, but R. Aron Hershkop who owns Everything Auto took it upon himself to repair the vehicle regardless of its cost, with the help of Avremi Burns who located the parts necessary in order to repair the car.

R. Binyomin drove the car from the shop to the Ohel for the first time since its been repaired.

    The car is Reb Binyomin’s, and as the Rebbes Mazkir he would often drive the Rebbe, thus it became known as the Rebbes car.

    Reb Yudel Krinsky also drove a similar car and had driven the Rebbe on many occasions.

    Sorry but the Rebbes car was the silver Cadillac that was driven by R’ Yudel Krinsky. This black Cadi is R’ Kleins that used to pick the Rebbe up from his house and bring him to 770 and take him to the mikveh. But was never called the Rebbes car.
