Multiple Cincinnati Schools Close After Over 1,000 Kids Catch the Flu
At least seven school districts near Cincinnati temporarily shut down after more than 1,000 students were absent with flu symptoms, and more kids and teachers were getting sick.
Schools in the southern Ohio communities of Reading, Wilmington, Manchester and Three Rivers were closed Friday. Three Rivers shut down Thursday after more than 600 students and 50 teachers failed to show up for classes.
In northern Kentucky, just across the Ohio River, Bracken County schools shut down Thursday and Friday, while Pendleton and Grant counties closed Friday and won’t reopen until Tuesday.
