Sold Out Crowd for the 5th Annual Soul II Soul Concert

Over 1000 Men Woman and Children packed into the George Wingate Auditorium for the annual Soul II Soul concert which benefits the Chasdei Zahavi Foundation for tuition for children with special needs.

The hall was full, there wasn’t an empty seat in the house, and all were there for a performance by the Crown Heights native and Chassidishe Performer Mordechai Ben David.

    Shomrim provided security for the event, there were around 15 guys walking around making sure everything was in order.

    wow really very beautiful…an amazing event i wish i didnt miss…but it was definately something everyone should have gone to.

    also where can we watch the ichekaduzee( however u spell) and i think mbd di a gr8 job last night though i t was very diff than the avrom fried ones wich i think were more heimish being that hes one of us!!
    anyways the goldmans did a gr8 job!
    i think they should come out with a video a combination of all the soul to soul concerts! with all the videos like the instruction video and the ichekaduzees the y were sooo cute!

    The concert was beautiful and really brought about achdus for our community, just a quick question; How come there was no mention of the Rebbe in the journal/playbill?

    Thanks To the Goldman’s for all the time and effort they put in to this event, I was actually feeling bad for them the first half of the concert because MBD had a very slow start with the crowd not really getting in to it that much, but after the intermission the crowd got more into it after a nice rendition of “Tzama L’cha”
    and some of his classic English songs that were great, too bad he didn’t sing more of his classics, his stage presence also needs some major help.
    Please get Avremel next year because
    no one rocks the house like Avremel, now I know more then ever that Avremel is king, but more important then all is to send your donations to Chasdei Zahavi
    so the Goldman’s should be able to continue the incredible work that they do, I hope that Moshiach will come right now and there will be no need for such organisations

    MBD was GREAT as he usually is. I was embarrassed by the audience who were deadsville personified. I’ve been to other MBD concerts and the audience goes wild. not in a negative way, but they are all into it, where as here you had to nudge a little enthusiasm out of the audience.
    as for Shliach’s comment, perhaps it’s time for him to retire fron Shlichushood if he forgot who’s shliach he is…..
    The only problem with the concert was it was too short for me. I could listen to MBD all night.

    MBD was amazing. He was powerful and he desrves a big yasher Koach for giving it all he’s got. Which he did. I don’t understand why people feel the need to write negative comments.
    Remember eveyone can read these comments. have some self respect.
    And remeber he is only a “basar v’dam” who brings simcha to lots of people.

    MBD was the king and always will be the king and he just proved tonight that even at his old age he is still the most dynamic and powerful figure on stage that no one else comes close to and thats what makes him the king of jewish music. He should be zoche to be mesameach klal yisrael ad bias goel zedek bba!
