Valley Chabad’s Friendship Circle Sports League Basketball ended in March with a grand awards ceremony, led by Sgt. John Burns and Officer James Foley of the Woodcliff Lake Police Department.
Under Coaches Richard Strick and Kevin Schlussel of the Woodcliff Lake Basketball Association, together with their teen volunteers, the Friendship Circle youngsters had the opportunity to hone their skills and confidence and participate fully on a team.
Friendship Circle, run by Valley Chabad, pairs teenage volunteers on a weekly basis with children and teens with special needs, extending friendship, and support to the children and much needed respite to their families.
