there are a few pictures there where the fathers and sons are smiling and really enjoying. Thats what people want to see, and thats what the fathers and sons really need!

  • Fatherless

This is very nice, but what about those boys who don’t have fathers who feel left out of this? Maybe someone can match them up with someone to learn with.

  • Just come

  • sensitivity, please!

    To JUST COME:
A little sensitivity goes a long way. Obviously, is Fatherless asked to be set up with a partner, they need one.

    To FATHERLESS:
I imagine that if you speak to your son’s Rebbi or principal, he will be glad to set your son up with a friend and his father, or better yet perhaps a bochur that would make your son feel special!

    I agree with Fatherless,
someone should take the job of matching up boys who have no father to take them, not just leave it to the father-less to find their own. They have enough challenges to deal with, we need to be available to help them, thats why those of us who are fortunate, have that zechus. PRO-ACTIVE, thats where its at!

    To sensitivity please:
Thank you for understanding. However, it is not so easy just to have a Rebbe or principal set you up with a bochur. The bochurim have very busy schedules and if they do manage to find time, it’s only if it involves $$$, not for chesed. Chesed is only done OUTSIDE our kehila.
And to concerned: you’re are 100% correct. It’s not easy or practical for us to find someone to learn with our sons. We should not have to go begging! It also makes our sons very uncomfortable and makes them feel like a nebech. The people in charge of the program should have this option available and then our sons will feel like this program is also for them.

    Thank you.
