Why can’t we speak like this when a person is still alive?? Why do we wait until after something like this happens to be reminded how good a person is or can be- or was?
I remember a Friday night Oneg Shabbat, 20 yrs ago, when as a group visiting from Canada, we listened intently to R’ Gansbour’s amazing holocaust miracle tales…. His house on President St. was filled with chassidishe warmth the minute you stepped in…and the variety of people gathered at that table included newly married lubavitcher couples… a pleasant feeling…which still lingers with me as a “Model Chabad House”.
