Mr. Greens Vegetables for the Needy Campaign
Building on the success of previous Fruit and Vegetable distribution for this past Pesach, Mr. Greens has done it again, donating pallets of Fruits and Vegetables for the needy.
The produce was set up on the corner of Albany and Union where the people lined up received what they needed. From early in the morning the owners were seen unloading the pallets onto the sidewalk and laying it all out in a neat and organized fashion.
One of the owners, Shloime Klein told CrownHeights.info that after last Pesach’s article on CrownHeights.info he was approached by several individuals who wanted to help with the cost of the program, and that he would like to thank those people that allowed him make this years program bigger than ever.

PPL need their Dignity
A wonderful project indeed. Though, I find it very insensitive for you to show pictures of this. If you want to write a positive article thats fine, but not at the expense of the dignity of those who benefit from this project. They obviously feel they need it but don’t necessarily feel comfortable having it advertised. Above all, this can actually prevent others who desperately need from going to benefit from this becuase they are afraid of the possible publicity and embarrassment. Please be a bit more sensitive and remove the pictures. I do commend the wonderful efforts of those involved in this wonderful mitzvah.

fp and PPL need their Dignity:
First, I took extreme care not to photograph any faces, and as you can see from the pictures, that you actually cant see nor identify any single person.
About holding it in such a public place, if you have a closed warehouse and are willing to donate its space for a day in order to perform this great mitzvah then please contact me VIA email: webby@crownheights.info and we can then arrange something!
People, please hold off on the comments of that nature (fp and PPL need their Dignity) for those are the only im going to approve, and it was done to address the issue. Thank You.

Nice Webby!! Great Pics and you are right you cant see a simgle person.. People in ch just like to complain… I LOVE THIS SITE!!! Keep it up….
Minor correction
while you are correct peoples faces are not visible, I wanted to go for someone else who did not even know about the whole thing, but didn’t because I didn’t want people to think I was taking for myself. B"H I don’t need it. ,perhaps in the future this could be done indoors, such as a yeshiva hall or the basement of the apartment house on Eastern parkway that is generally used as a shul or sometimes a hall, that way no one knows why someone is entering the building. aside for this little detail, what a wonderful thing to show caring for a fellow Jew. In this z’chus we should all merit to see the Geulah mamosh Now.

Perhaps a huge caldron of vegetable soup with a ladle? I think there is a chicken still running around since last week. Who doesnt like chicken soup? Pass the Osem mandel please!

I’m the one who wrote ‘a bisl sechel’ before. I see that you didn’t put faces there and that is good.
However, I’m sure there are people who wouldn’t go take from there if someone’s taking pictures v’al achas kamoh v’kamoh if they’re going online — even if their face is not visible.
Vhu ha’ikar: what possible toeles does posting the pictures have? People will be just as inspired by seeing pictures of the food without seeing the recipients.
Overall, you have a great site.

First off, excellent coverage Webby(,) as usual. :-)
Secondly, exactly who’s pride is it hurting? If the people there truthfully needed the vegetables, they would not be disturbed nor ashamed by having pictures (of their backs if I may add) posted on CH.info.
So a little advice- don’t waist your time attempting to argue about something indisputable.
cant stop complaining!!!!!!

I was there and did not like my pictute taken. Sorry , but i have a few frends who really need help , but would not come becouse of the picture taking. I can definatelly recognithe a few people.
On the other hand big thanks to Mr. Greens , Mrs Schiner , Duddy , Miriam Slater , Adina and Yosef Yacubov. They were really nice. I have already started cooking.
The only dounsite in my opinion was extreme rudness of the Young Men , who was helping out there . He was very insolting , yeling and beeng totally nasty.
thank you
its a very nice thing.webby, its very nice pictures but try not to get ppl inside the picture.

Just, just, just get a life.
Go to sleep, think about it and get back to use in the morning.
If you can’t help (or do better) just be quit.
