Amidst all this hustle and bustle, The Vaad Hatmimim – International committee for bochurim – have taken upon themselves the task of making the month long stay meaningful and inspirational, for the estimated 1000 guest Bachurim. A wide array of programming assures that the bachurim not only use their time here wisely, but also that they go back home with a greater understanding, in how they can be real Chassidim in today’s trying times.
Amidst the hustle and bustle; meaningful programming for Bochurim
The streets of Crown Heights are bursting with action, men women and children from around the world have gathered for “Tishrei in the Rebbe’s Court”. While sometimes the extra load of people can be burdensome; extra long lines in our local stores, extra pushing and shoving in 770, over flowing usage of the Mikva’s, to name a few. We know that the Rebbe was very supportive of hachnosas orchim, and the residents of the Shechuna, as always, have stepped up to the task.
Amidst all this hustle and bustle, The Vaad Hatmimim – International committee for bochurim – have taken upon themselves the task of making the month long stay meaningful and inspirational, for the estimated 1000 guest Bachurim. Nightly shiurim and farbrengens are organized in the Colel, with personalities such as Rabbis Yoel Kahn and Michoel Seligson. Topics include first hand accounts of Tishrei-with-the-Rebbe and the history and development of Vaad Hanochos B’Lahak – the committee for documenting the Rebbe’s sichos. Tours of the Rebbe’s Library, Davening in the Rebbe’s house and the Rebbe’s room, and the Friediker Rebbe’s apartment are arranged specially for the guests. Daily busses to the Ohel are subsidized to make it very convenient to visit. All these programs leave the bochur invigorated, with a real Tishrei experience. The highlight event is the major Vov-Tishrei farbrengen in Beis Rivkah Lefferts, where hundreds and hundreds of bochurim spend the night listening to the Rebbe’s choizer, ‘Reb Yoel’ with bated breath.
“This year we plan to erect a large sukkah to facilitate the demand for our programming during sukkos as well” said Mendy Vilenkin, the coordinator of Tishrei programming in the Vaad. He ended with a brocho “Let us hope that Moshiach comes immediately and we spend the rest of Tishrei with the Rebbe bigashmiyus as in the sweet days we all remember so fondly”.

Fan of yossi
it is important to mention at this point that Yossi Zaklikowsky, the menahel of this vital mosad, is doing it all himself – nobody is paying for the activities. If you see him – stop him and give a donation!
Thank You, Yossi!
Rank and file
I stepped in to Rabbi Lazaroff’s Farbrengen last night and it was a delight to see hundreds of young and innocent Bochurim being given guidance by responsible Chassidim of the Rebbe.
This organization is simply "saving the Bochurim" from foreign winds that are blowing very strong. Thanks to this, we can look forward to a vibrant future of healthy chassidim of the Rebbe.
We -the community- should support them.
Hope you feel the same.
