Late Wednesday night, some time between eleven o'clock at night and three o'clock in the morning, the electric cable that charges the hatzalah ambulances in front of 770 was cut by vandals.

Note: this is not the first time the Hatzalah Ambulances have been the target of vandalism. There have been two other incidents we reported one where the tires of the ambulances were slashed and two when CH-3 had both its mirrors broken off.

the stupid shvartze shikere goyish bahaymas get worse by the day– and to attack and ambulance that has the sole purpose of saving lives?!?! what low-life losers!

Isnt it about time that Hatzalah invested in a security camera?? I know it’s a sad sign of the times, but this is the 3rd time in a year that something’s happened to the ambulances, and this is putting peoples lives at risk if the ambulance cannot be used when it is needed. I am sure the money can be found – this seems to be a very important thing at this point.

What exactly does the cable do? How does it charge the ambluance? Was this reported to the police?

  • vivi

    oh gosh!!!!!!!

these poeple have nothing better to do in their lives than mugging, robbing, and even cutting a cable from a ambulace???????????????

what normal poeple there are these days!!!!! " "

why dont we instal close circuts not just in front of 770 but everywhere. like this we can catch the perp and put him where he belongs!

  • lazazel

thay have a camra out side of the 770 office bulding facing that place cant thay check who did it ant kill him b/c he could have killd somone chassvsholom if the ambulance was not able to respond on time

It is time to purchase a suitable structure to house the ambulances. This will protect the vehicles from vandals, protect them from the elements, prolong their useful life and allow them to be plugged in to the electric to stay charged and ready to respond to emergencies. Don’t continue to park these vehicles where evil people can readily acces and damage them…

  • CH tech

Some of those evil people are are own. remember last time I recall it wa sone of ours that broke the mirrors.

A seperate building/garage will not do it for us. We have one on Troy which is enough. The Rebbe advised the ambulances be kept in front of 770. So how can we alter his wants vechulu?

One of the incidents this year was caused by Yeshiva bochurim from 1414 (when the mirrors were smashed)

The cable charges all the life saving equipment on the ambulance, if it is not plugged in, they charge from the batteries and they drain all the juice. Every ambulance has it, since most are parked in garages you do not see them.

The Rebbe wanted that the ambulance should be in front of 770

hey all you people why do you just say oh let them get this let them do that webby in instead of having a poll on the side of your web site raise some money for hatzala and shomrim and lets see how meany of the people who make comments will donate

  • Hello?????????

why do they keep the truck in fornt of 770 if so many things happened to it already

  • member of ch

i remember a few months ago the SHMIRA went around asking people for money to put up cameras and i saw a lot of people give so where are those cameras?

  • real annoyed

Shvartzes will always be shvartzes! but what bothers me, is why are we just as stupid if not more stupid for not having cameras to catch the stupid shvartzes!!!

  • a really annoyed member of the shchuna

as you said SHMIRA went around asking people for money to put up cameras and i saw a lot of people give, but if the community would donate to SHOMRIM without being approached, i think much more would be done with that money to secure our neighborhood, it’s sick at the amount of money SHMIRA get from grants, community council and they still send out begging letters and put ads in Jewish papers to get more money, what are they doing with the money? why is it that you never see shmira around only SHOMRIM and they NEVER send out letters asking for money, we should all send them money for the good work they do 24/7 so they can buy new equiptment including cameras on the streets
can someone tell us where to send checks and money to?

  • vB

The ambulance is parked in front of 770 because the Rebbe said it should be. The reason is that when someone sees it is missing they should say tehillim for the injured/ill person.

  • a pissed off crown heights guy!!!

    cant you all see?!
ok… at this point its them or us. how many attacks have there been? how many people put at gunpoint? women walking down the street with there children! my own sister got hurt because of the shvugies! if we dont retaliate, then why are we talking?

  • excuse your honor but...

in response to e/o’s fury over all the money that shmira seems to be sitting on, just bear in mind that they are doing for e/o a sacred public service!
one that we should be greatly APPRECIATIVE of.
secondly, just b/c these comments are being posted anonymously it doesnt need to be written so VULGARLY!
would the rebbe approve of such language, especially on a lubavitch website??!!
