As we have previously reported about 4 cars getting broken into, 4 more became victims. This appears to be the work of one individual who has a preference for cars with smaller windows he can compromise to gain access to the car then he searches for things of value, even if they aren’t in plain sight.

One car was broken into some time on Motzoai Shabbos on Albany between Carroll and Crown, a Tzedakah box was taken and the glove box contents were emptied and rummaged thru. Another car that was parked on Schenectady between President and Carroll and was broken into had an expensive toolbox taken from it. A minivan was broken into nearby on President between Schenectady and Troy, where a tzedakah box was taken. And the last incident was on Brooklyn between Montgomery and Empire, where a bag containing expensive stuff was taken.

Crown Heights cars Are A Target Once More

In one of the incidents bystanders who spotted the perp descried him as being around 20 years of age, black, 5”5 to 5”7, and at the time was wearing a black ‘do rag’ blue jeans and a black shirt.

Other then making sure not to leave anything in plain sight there isn’t much we can do other then keep a watchful eye for anyone acting suspiciously and looking into cars. If you see something do not hesitate to call Shomrim at (718) 774-3333 24/7.

If you just leave nothing in the car even in hiding then just leave the car doors unlocked he will have no reason to break the windows and won’t have anything to take and your car will be save and sound

our car was also broken into: window smashed and valuable box containing gift stolen from inside in broad daylight.
it happened last tuesday, i guess we were the first. we made a police report but didnt inform any news sites.
there’s no small window in our car though.

  • come on

when will this stop dont those goyim have other things to do then rob . come on .there has to be a way to stop this .

  • report is a must.

dear dear yossi, you’re right they won’t have anything to take and won’t need to break the windows, but guess what? you leave your car unlocked and they will take YOUR CAR!!!!!
on a more serious note, I intend to leave my glove compartment open so they can see from the outside that there is nothing there. another idea is to try to get a garrage to keep the car in.

  • eh

Could it be our known car thief Derrick [Terrence] Nelson, he he went to jail over 10 times for breaking in to cars, & the police let him go a day later.

TO YOSSI. What is it? are you a moron? your idea to help the problem is to give in to the perps? people please!!!!! you dont get it do you? cops, shomrim, all good in theory but if you see this happening dont wait, have some courage and beat the guy yourself. I know I will.

woke up one morning in the bronx, went to my car and saw the lock was popped out. But what could have been stolen? but what was stolen? There was nothing left to steal. I looked and looked and finally I realized – the car seat covers.

  • they train -em young!! :(

    att eh:
it can be nelson however nelsons tecnique was to break in to cars with the door or window open or open them somehow he never crashed windows as far as i am concerned.
just somthing interesting the other day i was walking up utica when i noticed a a shvartze boy who must have been not more then 10 trying to open doors to the cars as secretly as he was trying to do it (oretending to just role on the cars while grabing the handle to check if it was open ) i wasnt the only one that noticed and another black guy went to him and scrame at him for doing that he said he would stop but only 2 seconds later continued. i guess they train ’em young!!

I don’t understand what you’re saying. If they brake the window then they can open the lock of the door and get inside. why can’t they take your car now after they brake the window?
