With great excitement and much anticipation, community members of S. Agathe and many Montrealers gathered together on Friday evening, October 22nd to welcome the Seminary BMC girls to a new year of learning in our beautiful Laurentian mountains.

Following candle lighting and services, the community was treated to a lovely gourmet Shabbat dinner and they were all warmly welcomed by Rebbitzin Chana Carlebach who proudly announced that they were celebrating the 10th year of Seminary BMC!

Throughout dinner, the community sitting around the many tables introduced themselves, explaining their involvement with the seminary girls of past years, and telling them how much they enjoy their presence here and how greatly they enrich Jewish life for us and all whom they meet. How the community looks forward to the many activities they invite them to participate in such as Yud Tet Kislev, Chanukkah parties, Purim and Saturday evening gatherings. Most enjoyable, the opportunity they have with one to one learning, a unique experience that truly enriches their lives.

Saturdays in shul are very lively with the girls and the community enjoys listening to the many Divrei Torah that are especially prepared for them.

The Seminary girls, introduced themselves and everyone present was delighted to hear about their lives and families and that they represented so many countries around the globe. Israel, South Africa, Italy, Belgium, France and the United States as well, with Pittsburgh, New York and Los Angeles in the mix.

Whatever language they speak, it is with much happiness that we welcome them. We share their enthusiasm for learning and we wish them a successful and great year.
