Rabbonim visit David Elliott Poultry
Badatz of Crown Heights, Horav Avrohom Osdoba, Horav Yitzchok Zirkind and Horav Shlomo Yehuda HaLevi Segal, (along with R’ Yossi Brook and Rabbi S.Z. Osdoba from the Vaad Hakashrus Administration) visited (inspected) David Elliott Poultry Farm (chicken plant) located in Scranton, Pennsylvania, to see the whole process of the shechita, hachshoro etc. The Rabbonim, Chavrei HaBadatz, reviewed the whole process of the shechita which is being done by Shochtim, Tmimim and Yirei Shomayim and were very impressed with the high standards and Hiddurim of this plant.
Horav Zirkind and Horav Segal, who were recently elected by the residents of Crown Heights to serve as members of the Beis Din (Rabbi Raitport could not come due to a family simcha), went through with Horav Osdoba (who is known in the world of Kashrus as a kashrus expert with close to 50 years experience) and reviewed the plant together. They are very proud to serve in this Beis Din which has a Mumche such as Horav Osdoba.
For Horav Zirkind personally, this visit was a nostalgic visit, being that his family is originally from Scranton, he remembers the Baalei Batim of the plant as little children and was very proud to see them today, operating a plant on the highest level of Kashrus.
After the visit (inspection), the Rabbonim had a meeting with all the shochtim, Rabbi Leibel Itkin, Rabbi Ben Tzion Rappaport, Rabbi Shmuli Rimler and Rabbi Ephraim Baitch. The Rabbonim pointed out to the Shochtim they were very happy with the Shochtim’s work and dedication. They discussed the importance of the job and the responsibility that is placed in their hands. They gave them words of chizuk and told them that besides their job as shochtim, which is holy work, they are also representing Lubavitch in the area. Therefore, they have to be very careful and be an example of how a Tomim and a Yirei Shomayim should act. The shochtim were happy to see the interest and involvement of the Chavrei HaBadatz and welcomed their visit warmly.
The owners of the plant, Moshe and Shlomo Fink, were very happy with the visit of the Rabbonim chavrei habadatz and thanked the Rabbonim for the privilege of having the first visit of the newly elected Rabbonim in their plant. They also said that any kashrus request the Rabbonim have, they are ready to do.
The Rabbonim summarized their visit by saying they were very happy with the kashrus setup in the plant and hoped to continue working with the plant in the future, in the most positive way.

I am very glad to see Number (1 that the ROV is so Medakdeik on every detail in the Inspectoin of the Kashrus . Number 2, tha the Rov is teaching the new Rabonim all the Proitm Uprotei-Protim of Kashrus . Number 3, that the new Rabonim are getting shimush KIDEBOI, it is ashamed that Rabbi A.Yankel Shwei , who never had Shimush in Shchito-Kashrus, did not join them, so he could also get some Shimush
reb Mottel
Lets not forget Rabbo Mottel Berkowitz who was the first shochet from Lubavitch in David ERlliot.
There should of been some mention of him.
Bias?
I thought that you were a neutral website, and now you just jot away how they were elected…and proud to be with r’osdobo… whats goin’ on over here, i’m sure you didn’t forget about the whole controversy sorrounding the election…..???
Please, no bias.
Happy to see
BH Horav Osdoba is moving on from the mess others have made and visit the shlacht house with Horav Segal and Horav Zirkind.
It gives us confidence that Rabbi Osdoba has the kehillah in mind and not petty machlokos others have
Nice to see
Its is a real nachas to see the new Rabbonim working hand in hand with Horav Osdoba Shlita.
They shjould have much hatzlacha in their holy work

Where was Rabbi Shwei? Was he invited? if not, why not? If so, why didn’t he attend? Please tell the whole story!
Proud of our Rabonim

To mr. "Bias?" I’m sure you didn’t forget the Mitzvah of ‘Lo Sisna Achicha Belvavecha’ that’s why you made sure to stir up the Machlokes pot.
Why don’t you learn some Torah and go on Mivtzoyim especially the Mivtza of Ahavas Yisroel.
Wake up people! speak like yidden should talk with/about one another; remember what Aharon sais to Moshe ‘when our sister(/brother) is sick it’s part of OUR OWN flesh which is eaten up’.
our job is La’asois Loi Yisbarech dira Betachtonim, and NOT remembering our failings.
next time mr. "Bias?" I expect to read a Dvar Torah from you (and everyone else for that matter), not any Shtus.
to comment # 2 Mr. bias
I am sorry but those rabbonim were elected by the same amount of people that elected Rabbi Schwei. so make up your mind either their all Rabbonim or none of them.
Seen it all !
Does anyone really know what’s going on there? Just see who is Rosh Hashochtim now. You probably wouldn’t eat from david elliot.
NU
NU.. I feel sorry for all those chabad shochtim stuck in scranton with no real chabad shul. There is no chayus there!!
