A little over ten years ago, the Shluchim Office—the leading international shlichus resource center—began compiling lists of shluchim needing temporary and longer-range assistance. They also assembled lists of young men and women seeking to temporarily assist, at peak seasons such as pre-summer and before all major holidays. “Shidduchim” were made between shluchim and applicants at these times, as well as for longer-term commitments. It was rudimentary, but it worked.
The Easy Way to Finding a Perfect Match
Once upon a time, a Lubavitcher bochur or girl trying to find a summer camp job, a Tishrei or Pesach shlichus assistance post, or a teaching position for the year, found it complicated to achieve.

With the advent of the Internet, online ads became the way to go, but these too leave much screening and guesswork to be done by both potential employer and employee.
Enter the Shluchim Office once more. Its flagship Placement Department is now fully online.
Since its post-Pesach launch, the online, interactive system has skyrocketed in popularity, with a combined total of several hundred shluchim, shluchos, bochurim and girls being electronically matched by qualifying criteria. The simplified, user-friendly online application form electronically sorts and funnels the right seekers to the right bosses—and vice-versa—giving all the results they are looking for.
But not losing its human touch, the Placement Department’s capable staff responds readily to requests for more information, overseeing the entire operation and resolving any difficulties.
“It’s an excellent system, and it really works,” says Mrs. Chana Piekarski, who handles the shluchos/girls side of the service. “It’s high-tech, but extremely user-friendly. The input we have received from the users is enthusiastic and positive. Give it a try!”
The Shluchim Office Placement Division is located at www.shluchim.org/placement.
Grateful
I would like to use this to thank Rabbi Sholom Simon of bochurim placement for his time and patience in securing me a position with a shliach.
Many thanks
Yossi
May I suggest that instead of wasting time with writing articles like this, the shluchim placement department will do good by actually working on more shlichus openings for yungerleit…. with all dues respect the system is far from what it should be. First of all, having a bochur from placement department require that we setup a meeting with my WIFE and I is absolutely not acceptable.
Secondly from what I hear, there are over 300-400 young couples on the list, the amount of offers going out are at a pace of about 3-4 a month. there were months without any offers at all…
Get to work, don’t just try and make some high tech system that won’t be of much use.

Yossi, You are unbelievable!!!
A typical complaining, ungratifying, selfish person!!! Instead of saying Kol Hakovod to the Shluchim Office for trying their best in accomodating Shluchim and Bochurim and Girls etc.. You have to look at the negatives. Is it their fault that bh so many people are looking for shlichus and the options are so little? You are a hypocrite, because i am sure that you or a friend or relative of yours has benifited from this fantastic system!!
