To begin the evening, emcee Mrs. Raizel Feder introduced Mrs. Brany Rosen, founder of the A T.I.M.E. organization. Mrs. Rosen welcomed the large crowd and thanked the attendees for their show of support by coming to this event. She spoke briefly about how her own lonely struggle with infertility compelled her to offer others the resources and support which she never found, and ultimately establish the A T.I.M.E. organization.

Evening with A T.I.M.E. community awareness
This past Sunday evening, the hall at Machon Chana was transformed. Over 150 women participated in an unforgettable A T.I.M.E. community awareness event organized by Etel Rivkoh Hurwitz and Yehudice Bialestock. Each attendee could feel the theme of the evening spring to life as she walked through the entryway greenery and into the Enchanted Garden. The tables were set beautifully with coordinating centerpieces and an array of chocolate-filled miniature flower pots and watering cans for each guest to take home as reminder of the evening. A tasty milchig dinner was served, complete with soup, a selection of hot dishes, plenty of garden salads, and a pre-Shavuos Viennese table with mouthwatering cheesecakes and fruit platters.

The women then heard from the entertaining and inspiring Mrs. Yael Quittner who enthralled the audience with the story of her unbelievable journey from an ultra-religious Catholic upbringing to her current lifestyle as the proud wife of a Kloizenberger chossid. Her tale was delivered with humor and wit, and Mrs. Quittner’s determination and perseverance was apparent throughout.
The audience also saw a moving and informative video about A T.I.M.E. which reiterated its goal of providing couples experiencing infertility with medical resources, financial help, and emotional support. Members spoke openly on the video about how the A T.I.M.E. organization and the friendships formed have served as lifelines during their most trying moments.
The final speaker, Mrs. Yettie Katz, bravely told her story, but more importantly, gave the community an insider’s perspective of how to demonstrate sensitivity to family and friends facing the challenge of infertility. Using her own experiences as examples, Mrs. Katz offered suggestions of how to offer support while at the same time maintaining tact and avoiding hurtful comments.
The evening ended on a lighter note with an exciting game of Take It or Leave It. Three lucky audience members had their raffle tickets called out and were invited to come up for a chance to win up to $500! A drawing was also held for 12-month membership to Kosher Gym.
The beautiful event left the women more aware of and sensitive towards the challenge that now faces 1 in 6 couples in our community. Attendees also gained an appreciation towards the unparalleled work of the A T.I.M.E organization and agree that A T.I.M.E. is no doubt deserving of our community’s support.

Ladies, if, G-d forbid, you are struggling with infertility do not do it alone. A.T.I.M.E. helped me get through some very hard times and to realize that I was not alone. B"H we are expecting now and if it were not for this great organization I do not know if I could have gotten through those lonley times.
http://www.atime.org it is annonamous and you have so many other ladies to speak with who have been there and/or are currently dealing with this issue.

Sara G – I’m sorry you couldn’t come because of the $ but that is only a tiny drop in the bucket for the costs involved with infertility. Besides for the awareness of infertility through this event, we did it to raise money.

To Sara:It’s $36 tzedaka to help someone experience the joys of having a baby and lessening the pain of one who doesn’t have R"L.

A TIME is amazing. They’ve helped me with everything from dealing with insurance companies to giving chizuk through the online forum and their amazing events. B"H, I’ve met many women through these events. I had to spend Shabbos in the city for a procedure, I din’t have the funds right away, and Rabbi Rosen without even asking me if I was a member immediately put up the money for me to stay at the hotel and their two shabbos in the city volunteers (Chaya and Vivienne) did everything they could to find a hotel for me and even did the registration and got me set up with a big box of Shabbos food and even a nice card.
I used to be too shy to come to events and when I finally did I was saying "why didn’t I do this sooner?!" I’m so happy that there are more events in Crown Heights and I’m very thankful to Etel Rivkah and Yehudice for putting together what looks to have been an amazing event.
