The Best Birthday Present in the World – Parade 56!
This Morning Bochurim and Children were seen milling around President St. between Kingston and Albany, where they were looking for their ‘Mitzvah Tanks’ and the group they will be sharing it with. The 56 Tanks, corresponding to the number of years of the Rebbes Nesius, were all lined up and geared up with Pesach Guides, Matzos, Neshe”K and Tefilin, to set off on the annual Mitzvah Tank Parade commemorating the Rebbes birthday which takes place on Sunday, Yud Alef Nissan.
At around 11:15am the parade set off, escorted by the NYPD’s Highway Division, right to Manhattan where the biggest Kiddush Hashem was displayed up 6th Avenue then down 5th Avenue. The parade ended at 24th St. and 5th Ave. and from where each tank set out to its designated location around the city.
Over 150 Gorgeous pictures of the Parade and Mivtzoim for all those of you that could not attend to get the feel of what it was like, in the Extended Article!

just wondering why in the world the bochur would be standing on the bus stop…. I thought the parade is for a kiddush hashem not to run loose and jump on bus stops????????

Great Pics!!!!! Keep the pics coming>>>> You guys do fantastic work……. Great sight full of crown heights info…
inspired
TO RICKY:
The bachur on the bus stop was probebly very inspired by the kidush hashem and kidush lubavitch, just like old chasidim used to dance in the streets when they where inspired or happy, I dont think its a chillul hashem.
just a thought!!!

Do people call you when something happens? How on earth do you possibly know whats going on. I mean your all over the place. by the way,. I MUST COMPLIMENT YOU ON THE PICTURES YOU TAKE THEY ARE REALLY GOOD.

To all the Immanuel fans out there, just to clarify:
I don’t think he had any active roll in planning and arranging, but what I do know is that I drove one of the tanks.
And thank you everyone for the compliments! It’s my pleasure to see my work really appreciated!

i looooooooooooooooooooove the pics webby
Ricky to isnpried
Exactly my point thanks you, it is much more normal and excpetable to dance than to jump on top of a bus stop (phone booth). A Talmid CHocam has a resposnobitlty with his actions, and how they may come accross to others….not everyone walking on the street knows how inspired he is… and it will give them a negative outlook on chasidim ,and there parading habits…
Zalman
New york city phone booths should now say "a chasids photo op"
to ricky
i just want to agree with you. there are many bouchrim who do wild things because ‘they’re inspired’. i think although it is a great kiddush hashem, the fact that a boucher lost himself over it diminishes from the atmosphere. BOUCHRIM- remember who you are representing- THE REBBE. bouchrim dancing on top of phone boots is NOT the way the rebbe wants it to be- the rebbe wants you to be inspired to learn more, do more mivtzoyim. you can get inspired during farbrangens, but this wild insipration turns peole off (i witnessed it myself) that is not to take away from the fact it was a beutiful parade which many people stopped to look at and put on tefillen
proud to be lubavitch
i am so upset i wasnt there. the pics are amazing but even more so lubavitch is amzing this make me so HAPPY

gr8 job driving the tank
btw – what’s your name?
AWESOME!!!!
Totally awesome! Lubavitch has something to be proud of!!!

I am disappointed that you took down the posts from Avi Ezri and those who responded to him. You shouldn’t be so afraid of opinions not exactly like yours. Just because you don’t believe in davening to the Rebbe doesn’t mean that nobody else does.
