NEW YORK, NY [CHI] — It’s the second time in a month that the Five Towns Jewish Times have been the target of Muslim Extremist Hackers who replaced their homepage early this morning, Monday January 19th, replacing it with statements from the Quran and threatening hate filled messages.

As of this afternoon the website has been returned to its normal format, and the hate messages removed.

In a phone call to the newspaper they said that they are working to improve the site’s security especially since this is their second such incident in the past month.

How about turning loose some of our young video game dazed cyber brainiacks to counter them and plant a few well designed messages on their sites.

Or has that been thought of and done already?

I find this kind of funny. Muslims like to instill fear through machine guns, ski masks and killing vulnerable civilian men, woman and children. The whole “scary hacker” thing is TOTALLY not the “terrorizing” image the Muslims try so hard maintain.
When I think of a hacker, I don’t imagine a gun wielding psycho killer nutcase guy, I envision a really skinny dude with oily skin who has more pimples than he has friends.

Way to go hacker guy……we are all REALLY scared now..

Seems that 5Towns need to fix their security.
If u put in bad input into a search field you get a nice pretty ASP error page like so:

Active Server Pages error ‘ASP 0140’

    Page Command Out Of Order

    /Multi.asp, line 4

The @ command must be the first command within the Active Server Page.

Seems that their application, obviously written by some incompetent programmer can’t even handle a single quote in search field.
I advise them Google for “SQL Injection” and harden their code against it.
