Suri Kasirer, President, Kasirer Consulting, was the chaired the event. She praised the work of National Committee for the Furtherance of Jewish Education, in the area of education and more so of social services in Toys for Hospitalized Children and their food pantry.
Speaking of those NCFJE honored, Rabbi Shea Hecht, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, said, “These are the people who champion the causes that affect the Jewish community. The nature of their work often keeps them behind the scenes, but they are the ones that keep this city going. Their hard work on our behalf needs to be recognized.”
“There are no appeals and no fund-raising at the breakfast,” said Rachel Shem Tov, who organized the event. “ It’s a nice ‘thank you’ for the people in city hall and in Albany and in the business world that enable us to assist our communities.”
The Empowerment Breakfast underscores NCFJE’s 68 years of serving the educational, social, religious and humanitarian needs of all sectors of the community.
