Rabbi Mentz has radio history in his own right, he hosted a political talk show a few years ago on KFI-ABC California which aired during drive-time and had 675 thousand listeners at any given time. The show was cancelled when the station was taken over.

The Iran rally situation was mishandled by the Presidents Conference organizers. They never should have invited Palin without inviting Biden at the same time. They also sandbagged Senator Clinton by trying to get a photo op of her with Palin at their rally. It was just mishandled very badly.

His own program was cancelled, although it was a huge ratings hit. The new program director (who was would you have guessed it – Jewish) didn’t like the conservative bent of the show and had it cancelled. The previous director was a non-Jew. Isn’t it typical!!!

The other issue here as was mentioned on the Zev Brenner show by a member of the NY UJA is that since they not follwed the rules of inviting both parties to an event with both parties given enough time to schedule the event the UJA could loose their non-for profit status.
It’s worth mentioning that as Shluchim we should probably stay out of politics especially this election cycle when peoples pasions for the race are very high. If we don’t, we run the risk of distancing ourselves from other Jews who’s veiws we don’t share and whose job it is to mekerav them not the opposite.

I don’t listen to Zev Brenner because Al Sharpton (YM”S) walked all over Mr. Brenner when he was on Talkline.
Both Obama and McCaine (Also Ex.Mass governor Romney) are low-lives, lousy Americans and crummy world citizens.. Read about McCaine and Romney re: The Senator Larry Craig affair when they abandoned their friend and presumed guilt before a court was held.
Obama condemned Agriprocessors at an Ohio rally before anything was proven in court.
All three (Are there thousands more?) don’t deserve to be in public office because they trampled on the MOST SACRED principle of government: ‘Innocent until proven guilty.” I probably won’t vote. America can probably find better candidates than these. Any American who supports and of these people is foolish and tramples on America’s (And the world’s) very sacred principle.
I think Ronald Reagan was a better candidate and person.
I grew up in Boro Park and went through the whole public school system until I graduated from The Cooper Union with a BFA in Graphics and Fine Arts.
I try to love America because of it’s Torah-based beliefs.

shluchim should not take political stances under the name of their shlichus or communtiy, but personaly they can vote, they can state their opinion, there is abolutly nothign wrong with what he said in terms of non-for profit status.

what is important to note it that this rally is not about the UN – it is to empower it’s organizers by showing they can they draw a large crowd. the rally organizers are all pro PA State, which means they are pro putting 6 million Jewsish lives in danger. it is in the best interest of the Jews living in Eretz Yisroel that this rally fail.
