Yet another mugging
On Wednesday at around 4:00pm a Jewish girl was attacked and mugged, this took place on President St. between Schenectady and Utica, the victim (17) was attacked by 3 black girl’s with ages ranging from 14 to 16 one of which had a knife pointed at her.

I believe there was more "fear" all around for a black to even think of doing a crime in area. Also, with regard to Shemtov, Shmira, etc: In earlier years, you could get away with instilling fear, and it worked in Williamsburg very well (chaptz’em!). Now, we would be the ones getting in trouble for assault, etc. We should however put pressure on the council, to put pressure wherever it will work

#2 going to the top does work! their job is to do stuff for the ch community. if we keep on going higher than those making problems, than its only a matter of time until they WILL start sucking up to us. look at other communities who do nothing but disrespect and endanger police officers, THE PD ALWAYS TREATS THEM RIGHT. because they know that these communities will not take any BS.

i happen to know the girl that this happened to there a couple of mistakes they didn’t take her purse. Also they didn’t push to the ground they just pushed her in a driveway but B"H a yid saw and called shmira. one of the girls held her arm around her neck and faced the knife at her, the victim being a very brave girl grabed the knife not to go into her neck and unfortanaly she got a cut but at least she saved her life. when she was consentrating on the knife the girls grabed her cell phone at ran. i think whenever your walking even just around the corner you should be with at least 2 people. She was down the block from her house were this happend.

When Crime was high in the 80’s Yisdroel shem tov arranged that most members of the ocmmunity were on a roster, and partoled the naighberhood once a month. And when it was your turn you had a 5 hour night shift and partoled the streets of your community.
Today the shemira is looked upon as a buntcha loosers who have nothing better to do with thier lives.
if besides the regular shemira, each night if 4-5 cars went out, and served as a deterernce to crime we would not have this problem.
