Smashing Adar Rishon at YNS

TZFAS, Israel [CHI] — The month started off with a Siyum on Gemora on Rosh Codesh by Hatomim Chaim Shimon Dubov and Hatomim HaShliach Shlomo Yager. It was very inspiring to hear Rabbi ‘O’rimland, Rosh HaYeshiva, speak about a bochur who came to the yeshiva saying I can’t, I can’t, I can’t!!! Today, besides the siyum he is also finishing Basar V’Cholov.

The following week on Zayin Adar the yeshiva celebrated another siyum meseches by Hatomim Eli Marks and Hatomim Chezky Weiss. Rabbi ‘O’ pointed out that the specialty of this siyum is the fact that one talmid taught the gemora to another talmid.

Shabbos Parshas Tetzaveh brought tremendous excitement when the yeshiva spent Shabbos together at Kibbutz Lavi. After a beautiful and lebedik Seudas Shabbos the bochurim were treated to an Oneg Shabbos. Shabbos morning after Chassidus and Mikveh the yeshiva was joined for davening by Chabad of Montana and Chabad of Utah who were also spending Shabbos at the hotel. A farbrengen extended from the Seudas Shabbos upon where the bochurim were treated to inspiring words from the Shliach in Utah, Rabbi Binyomin Zippel. Following a short break there was Mincha, Seudas Shlishis and Seder Nigunim which extended to Havdoloh. Motzei Shabbos the bochurim went night swimming and was followed by pizza and a kumsitz in which many heartfelt songs were sung accompanied by Hatomim Meir Kramer on the flute and many inspiring and meaningful stories were told by Rabbi ‘O’.

Purim Koton brought in an extra added simcha as eight bochurim made siyumim. Four bochurim made siyumim on Meseches Megillah and four bochurim on Meseches Ta’anis. Mazel Tov to the following bochurim; Hatomim Moishe Orimland, Hatomim HaShliach Mendy Cohen, Hatomim HaShliach Yossi Lewis, Hatomim Mendel Friedrich, Hatomim Shloime Litvin, Hatomim Sholi Israel, Hatomim Avi Naiditch and Hatomim Meir Roetter. There was a beautiful Seudas Mitzvah for this special occasion followed by a farbrengen which lasted into the wee hours of the night. The main point of the farbrengen was when there is a will there is a way and nothing can stand in your way however it must start off with the will. Hatomim Mendel Friedrich said that he never thought that he would be able to make a siyum but thanks to the yeshiva, the shluchim and Moishe Orimland he is where he is today!

  • VERY PROUD AND LUCKY PARENTS

For almost a year now, we have watched, via the wonders on the World Wide Web, the young men of YNS fondly known as O’s, grow b’ruchnius and b’gashmius. All their accomplishments proudly posted for one and all to see.
Imagine our joy, when on our second night in Israel, we were the honored guests at one of the siyums.

As I sat in the corner of the shul/dinning hall, I could not help but notice the pride on the young men of O’s, faces, as our son Chaim Shimon Dubov made a siyum.

The siyum was in honor of my father’s yortzeit and I know he is as proud as we are.

Thank you Rabbi O and staff for believing in Chaim Shimon and for reminding him to believe in himself

    Love Mendy and Bassie Dubov
