Early Morning Fire Tears Through Home
Crown Heights, Brooklyn — At around 2:20 last night a fire broke out in the basement of a home at 1607 Carroll Street between Schenectady and Utica. FDNY arrived on scene within minutes and immediately began battling the fire, the cause of which remains under investigation, which they had subdued shortly after their arrival.

Upon arriving on scene a ladder was lifted from one of the ladder trucks to the roof of the house during which a tree limb had snapped off and landed on a parked car causing damage to the doors, windshield and hood of the car.
There were no reported injuries as result of the fire.
