Blaze Tears Through Apartment Building
A fire tore through a 4th floor apartment in a building on Carroll Street in Crown Heights. One firefighter was injured battling the blaze.
The fire broke out inside a 4th floor apartment at 1429-1435 Carroll Street near Albany Avenue at around 11:00am. Firefighters had the blaze under control shortly thereafter.
Sources said that there were two areas of the building on fire, and its cause is currently under investigation by the fire marshals.
One firefighter suffered minor injuries and was transported to Kings County Hospital. There were no injuries to any of the building’s residents.
The structure is a four story building and has 27 apartments.
