Crown Heights Catering Hall Burns Down

At about 6:30am Shabbos morning, a fire broke out at the Turk’s Catering Hall on Empire Blvd. near Schenectady Ave. in Crown Heights.

The 2-alarm fire completely destroyed the catering hall’s kitchen. No one was present at the establishment at the time, and there were no injuries reported due to the blaze.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time and is being investigated by the FDNY.

    I was there and the beauty salon was NOT affected. They were probably shaken up by the smoke but it definitely didn’t catch on fire.

    I remember reading after hurricane Sandy about how TURK’S CATERING was there preparing regular and Shabbos meals for people who needed help. Now’s time for people to see if they need help in any way.
