Fire Prompts Large FD Response

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — A fire broke out this afternoon in a small apartment building on Nostrand Avenue and Lincoln Road; prompting a large response of firefighters and rescue personal.

The fire was deemed suspicious, began in the ventilation shaft and quickly spread through out walls of the building. A combination of the hot weather and the nature of the fire prompted an urgent evacuation of the building.

There were no serious injuries reported.
