CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — An electrical fire broke out in the ceiling of a home on Eastern Parkway. The incident took place at around 9:00pm on Motzoai Shabbos inside of 821 Eastern Parkway between Kingston and Albany on the third floor.
The father of the household first noticed the fire while he was exercising when he smelled the acrid smell of smoke and quickly evacuated the entire house and called 911. FDNY arrived as flames and thick smoke was pouring out of the ceiling of the house and the quickly went to work on dousing the fire.

Fire Displaces Large Jewish Family Last Night
CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — An electrical fire broke out in the ceiling of a home on Eastern Parkway. The incident took place at around 9:00pm on Motzoai Shabbos inside of 821 Eastern Parkway between Kingston and Albany on the third floor.

Firefighters also went to work in the two adjacent buildings, a home and the Darchai Menachem School after occupants reported that there was smoke there too. The neighboring home was damaged by the flames extending from the original fire, while the school did not sustain any fire damage, only the stench of smoke and some broken doors and ceilings.
Boruch Hashem there were no reported injuries.
A Darchai Menachem teacher told CrownHeights.info that classes were temporarily moved to the Zal until the damage will be repaired, and that today’s day of learning was dedicated to in thanks to Hashem for keeping the entire family safe last night.

actually, I was the one you saw in the video. i had the keys to those doors with me, but they were not interested in listening to either me, or the person taking the video, they did what they wanted without even paying attention to us.
