At around 11:00pm last night [Tuesday] a fire broke out in an apartment on the 4th floor of a building on the corner of Utica & Carroll, there was no one in the apartment when the fire broke out. Initial reports have the fire tagged as “suspicious” but the cause of it is still unknown. This building is owned by a Lubavitcher from Crown Heights.

FDNY’s response time was really good, with 5 trucks and a lot of ambulances on standby just incase of injuries, they managed to limit the fire damage to only one apartment, but the smoke and water damage can not be contained and residents from neighboring apartments were forced out of their homes for the night.
