Time: 7:15pm
Event Title: Chazzonus Workshop Evening To Develop Talent
Location: The Shul, 481 Albany Ave. [between Empire And Lefferts]
Event Description: Council of Chabad Chazonim was dstarted by Rabbi Levkeh Kaplan a decade ago to develop the local Chazanus talent and to place them in jobs. Levkeh and Dovid Babinet (local voice teacher) held monthly workshops to for local Chazzonim to sing, learn, teach and discuss Chazzanus, nusach and technique and be inspired by its meaningful nature. After meeting together in local crown heights homes for the past year, and a successful opened-to-the-public sefira concert that took place last month, many increasingly found interest in joining the group. As a bigger venue is in demand, this workshop will be hosted by \"The Shul\" at 481 Albany. All participants will have an opportunity to sing a piece or more time permitting. The singing will be interspersed with brief words of guidance and inspiration from The Chazzanus Masters. Among these masters will be Levke Kaplan an expert in Nusach and Chazzanus; expert Voice Teacher Dovid and pianist Yisroel Edelson. They will also be joined by other guest Master Chazonim This is a great opportunity to start preparing for the High Holidays, to network with other Chazonim and to find out about more singing opportunities. Too often people leave their preparation to the last minute. It is very exciting to see and hear all these very talented local Chazzanim practicing new pieces and perfecting old ones. The goal, however, is much more than just entertainment. \"The development of an artist or musician does not happen in a vacuum; it\'s only by being around other artists and being supported by his community that he can succeed.\" - Dovid Babinet Come share your talent! Be a part of it! Show your support! For additional information about singing opportunities, vocal training, or sponsoring opportunities please call 718 772 3543. The group would like to thank the sponsors of the event: Essel Eyewear, Vaad Printing, Corey Steinbock Matress Outlet and Jeff and Lynn Zadoff.
