ULY’s Second Grade Purifies the Air!

Learning on the Coney Island bound N train!

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — Thursday, Yud Aleph Teves was an exciting day for the students of Lubavitcher Yeshiva’s second grade as they set out to fulfill the directive of the Rebbe in the Hayom Yom of that day.

The boys went on a journey to “purify the air” bringing torah to the subway trains, over ground trains, streets and stores. The Talmidim were full of liveliness as they recited the twelve Pesukim and Chumash in an effort to be “metaher ha’avir” from Crown Heights to Coney Island.

More pictures in the Extended Article!

After school the Talmidim of the whole Yeshiva embarked on a mission with their sights set locally on Kingston Avenue. Store owners were so impressed with the boy’s efforts that they treated the boys to nosh which presented itself as another opportunity to further purify the air by making the appropriate Brocho out loud.

A special note of thanks goes to the stores that took part in this wonderful mitzvah were Flash, Post Market, Judaica World and Raskin’s Fruit! Thank you!

Thank you Rabbi Karp for getting the kids rallied up and excited about learning!

A huge Yasher Koach goes out to the students who were so brave to come in to the store and recite Pesukim, Gemara, Tanya, etc. out loud. I was honored to welcome their sweet words of Torah and to give them a sweet nosh in return.

Anytime kids, you are our future!

    Thanks for the opportunity!

It is so beautiful to see mechanchim bringing the Rebbes teachings to life instead of just preaching it. Kol Hakavod!

Way to go Lubavitch Yeshiva talmidim, “Kert a Velt heint”.
The names of the Mechanchim is not so important, (remember the 5th derech of Teshuvah from Hayom Yom, “Hatzneah Leches”).
