URGENT PESACH NOTICE: Lemon Juice Advisory

The Crown Heights Jewish Community Council (CHJCC) is issuing an important notice regarding lemon juice distributed as part of recent Pesach packages.

We have been informed that some bottles of Lieber’s brand lemon juice were distributed with mixed certifications, meaning that some bottles are Kosher for Pesach while others are not.

As a result there is a concern that non Kosher for Pesach (chometz) lemon juice may have reached members of the community.

What You Should Do

Please check each bottle carefully for a valid Kosher for Pesach certification before use
If you have already distributed or shared this product please notify recipients to check as well.

We understand that this may cause inconvenience especially during the busy Pesach preparations. We are working with our partners to ensure greater oversight moving forward and to prevent similar issues.

Our priority is the wellbeing of the community and helping ensure a kosher and smooth Yom Tov for all.
