Free Kaparos by NCFJE at Bais Rivkah Crown 

Free chickens for kaparos will be distributed this Sunday, 6 Tishrei, September 28 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the parking lot of Beis Rivkah Crown St. This offering is exclusively available to residents of Crown Heights, East Flatbush and Remsen Village, and only at the Beis Rivkah location. The chickens will be provided at no cost, and donations for kaparos per one’s individual means will be graciously accepted and appreciated.

Community members are strongly encouraged to arrive early, as supplies are limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Limited street parking available.

Recognizing the financial burden that extra expenses place on some families, NCFJE is offering Kaporos free of charge this year. “This will enable every person to perform Kaporos with dignity” explained Rabbi Shimon Hecht, one of the program’s organizers. “It’s important that everyone can participate in this minhag.”

Rabbis Sholom Ber Hecht, Shlomo Leib Abramowitz, Levi Hecht, and Shimon Hecht express their continued pride in serving the community through the NCFJE, and wish everyone a Gmar Chasima Tova.

Those who use money for Kaparos can also send their Kaparos to NCFJE for distribution at NCFJEkaparos.com.

As usual, there will also be Kaparos available for sale on Tuesday evening beginning at 6pm with shechita starting at 8pm.
