by CrownHeights.info
An overdue promotion has made its way down the ranks of the NYPD, with the 71st Precinct Commanding Officer Ronald Perez being promoted to the rank of Deputy Inspector.
“Huge congrats to @NYPD71Pct Commanding Officer Ronald Perez on your well-deserved promotion to Deputy Inspector,” Crown Heights Shomrim wrote on social media. “Your leadership continues to make a difference.”
Deputy Inspector Ronald Perez left his post at the 63rd Precinct at the rank of Captain in March of this year, taking over the prestigious post at the 71st Precinct in Crown Heights. His many previous posts included positions in the 63rd Precinct, Patrol Borough Staten Island, Youth Strategies Division, 83rd Precinct, 72nd Precinct, and 120th Precinct. He began his career in the NYPD in July of 2002.
The 71st police Precinct is considered a busy post for NYPD officers, with most commanding officers seeing a promotion to Deputy Inspector soon after arriving at the precinct.
