Massive Crown Of Hundreds of Rowdy Teenagers Cause Mayhem On Eastern Parkway In Crown Heights

Hundreds of teenagers, allegedly called together over social media, converged on Eastern Parkway Thursday, causing mayhem as they passed through Crown Heights.
“Within the last hour, a group of teens from two local public high-schools coordinated over social media, and came to our area to cause disruption,” Crown Heights Shomrim wrote on social media. “This was reckless behavior, however not antisemitic or targeting the Jewish community.”
Videos of the group show a strong presence by the NYPD as they followed along with the crowd and intervened as fights flared.
Crown Heights Shomrim reported multiple calls for the disorderly group, including for bottles being thrown and other behaviors. No injuries from the community have been reported.
The group slowly passed through the community, eventually making their way from Utica Ave towards Bedford and beyond. As of the publishing of this article, splinter groups are still in the area of Crown Heights and residents are encouraged to remain vigilant and find alternative routes through the community.
