Now It’s Our Turn
It doesn’t matter if it’s 3 AM, Yom Kippur, or the middle of a simcha — when someone in Crown Heights calls Hatzalah, they run.
Fast.
No delays. No questions.
But while the volunteers never ask for a dollar, the operation behind them needs a lot of dollars.
Right now, it costs $1.5 million a year to keep Crown Heights Hatzalah operating. And that number is only going up. Insurance premiums have doubled in recent years. The cost of basic medical supplies keeps rising, with Epipens alone costing over $20,000 a year. Then there’s dozens of medications, IV supplies, gas, ambulance repairs, oxygen tanks, trauma kits, obstetrical kits, radios, and ongoing training for 85 volunteers — all of it adds up quickly.
And none of it includes salaries. Because there are none.
This is a lean, all-volunteer operation that only works because the Crown Heights and wider Anash community makes it work.
Now it’s time to do your part.
Help Hatzalah raise what it takes to keep them running, so we’re never left waiting.
