Pedestrians will take over 54 New York City streets this Earth Day, including Empire Boulevard from Franklin Avenue to Washington Avenue in Crown Heights.

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 26th, roads across all five boroughs will close to car traffic, including a huge stretch of Broadway from 17th Street to 46th Street in Manhattan.

Instead of cars, the streets will fill with pedestrians, cyclists, art and programming. If you want to enjoy the day on wheels, CitiBike will offer free 30-minute rides with the code “CARFREENYC25.”
