Seudas Yehudis: Providing Essential Support to Crown Heights Families
Seudas Yehudis has been a pillar of support for new mothers and their families in Crown Heights for over two decades. Recognizing the difficulties new mothers and single parents encounter, we aim to alleviate their struggles by offering nourishing meals, Shabbos meals, Yom Tov Packages, and organizing community events.
For new mothers, the postpartum period can be a hectic and overwhelming time. That’s where Seudas Yehudis comes in, providing hot, nutritious meals to new mothers and their families on a daily basis. With Seudas Yehudis’s support, new mothers can rest and recuperate, knowing that their families are well taken care of.
In recent years, Seudas Yehudis has expanded their support to include divorced women and their families as well, with the Single Women’s Fund. This fund helps ease the financial burden on divorced women especially during the busy Yomtov seasons. Seudas Yehudis steps in with a lending hand whenever needed.

Being divorced can feel so lonely. Especially shabbos. Days in court are filled with so much anxiety. Therapy appointments for all the kids and working full time to be able to pay basic bills is so draining. SY stepped in to take the pressure off my shoulders by offering home-cooked delicious and nutritious meals for Shabbos.
