Assemblyman Simcha Eichenstein Urges Local Non-Profits To Apply for the Nonprofit Security Grant Program Before the December 11th Deadline

Assemblyman Simcha Eichenstein is urging all eligible nonprofits to take advantage of the Security Grant Program by applying before the 5:00 PM deadline on December 11th

The program provides nonprofit organizations with vital funding to enhance their safety, security and protect them from potential threats. This NSGP-NSS funding has been authorized under the federal Israel Security Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2024 and is administered by the NYS Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services. Each nonprofit organization may apply for up to $200,000 per site, and nonprofits with multiple sites may apply for an additional $200,000 per site for a maximum of three sites located within the NSGP-NSS-UA area. In total, $105 million is being made available to support nonprofit organizations that are located within a federally designated urban area, which includes New York City, Nassau County, Suffolk County and Westchester County.

“The December 11th deadline is rapidly approaching and I urge all our local nonprofits to take advantage of this vital program,” said Assemblyman Simcha Eichenstein. “This is an opportunity to obtain funding that will ensure the safety and security of our nonprofit organizations, their staff, facilities and the people they serve.”
