Two Lubavitcher Struck In Friday Night Hit and Run in Crown Heights

Two Lubavitchers crossing an intersection in Crown Heights Friday night were struck by a vehicle and rushed to the hospital.
According to reports, the two men had been crossing at the intersection of Troy Ave and Rutland Road around 7:00pm when they were struck by a pickup truck making the left turn from Rutland to Troy. The truck sped off after striking the two men.
A witness to the incident stated that the victims had been in the crosswalk when the driver sped through the stop sign and turned directly into them. The two were hit and thrown before the driver backed up and fled the scene.
Hatzalah rushed to the scene and the two victims were transported to the hospital.
Crown Heights Shomrim responded to the scene and were able to collect important information for the detectives assigned to the case.
