11 Iyar: 2nd Yartzeit of R’ Shloime Drimmer

This Sunday – 11 Iyar – marks the second Yartzheit of R’ Shloime Drimmer, a revered figure in Crown Heights known for his generosity and community activism.

Born to Holocaust survivors, R’ Shloime was deeply rooted in his Crown Heights upbringing, attending Lubavitch Yeshiva.

Initially known for his Judaica store on Kingston Avenue, which later expanded into a successful appliance business, he used his entrepreneurial success to aid countless individuals and causes.

A beacon of kindness, R’ Shloime welcomed people from all walks of life into his home, offering assistance with a warm smile. Proud of his lineage as a descendant of the esteemed posek R’ Shloime Drimmer – the “בית שלמה” – he was passionate about Torah study and the preservation of rare Seforim.

Beyond his business endeavors, R’ Shloime was an active community member, serving on the Crown Heights Vaad Hakohol and tirelessly advocating for peace and unity. His devotion to Chabad causes was evident, notably sponsoring a prestigious album project following the Rebbe’s request to Rabbi Shmuel Butman after the Siyum Harambam.

As we commemorate his legacy, R’ Shloime Drimmer’s impact continues to inspire acts of kindness and communal service.
