BDE: Yehuda Leib Greenwald, 36, OBM

With great sadness we report the passing of Habochur Hatomim Yehuda Leib Greenwald OBM, born and raised in Melbourne, Australia and who lived in Crown Heights for the past many years. He passed away on Monday, the 5th of Iyar, 5784.

He was 36 years old.

With his infectious smile and radiant joy Yehudah Leib would light up any room he walked into. Forever positive and full of life, Yehuda Leib always had a good word to say and lived to make a fellow yid happy.

Yehudah Leib was synonymous with gemilas chasodim, always willing and able to do another person a favor. An active member of The Chabad House of Crown Heights, directed by Rabbi Chaim Pil, he participated in many regular shiurim, minyanim and farbrengens.

He is survived by his parents, Nosson and Bela, and siblings Rochel Leah, Chaim, Chana, Sholom Ber, Brocha and Miriam.

The Levaya take place tomorrow, Tuesday, passing by 770 at 9:40am. Kevurah will take place at Montefiore Cemetery at 10:30am.

    A beautiful soul, an elevation for his soul, I am devastated!!! Tried to always get me married, used to say go out, women are waiting, THIS FINAL REDEMPTION PROCESS IS REALLY DRAGGING ON TOO LONG!! G-D HAVE MERCY!!!

    BDE – Yehudah Leib was a real sweet guy, always with a big smichel on his punim!!! Reminded me of his dad Nosson, my cousin and his zeideh Avrum (obm) my Uncle Art – easy going gentle and kind.
