Ina rare incident Friday morning, an earthquake shook New York City, rattling Crown Heights along with the other boroughs.
At present, no damage or injuries have been reported.

Update 10:46am: The rating has again been updated to 4.8 on the Richter Scale and 4.7km in depth. Rep[orts are also surfacing of a structure collapse in a New Jersey town near the epicenter of the earthquake.
Update: 10:37am: The earthquake rating has been updated to 4.7 on the Richter Scale and just 5 km in depth.
Update 10:32am: The earthquake, centered in Northern New Jersey, was rated a 5.1 on the Richter Scale, according to https://www.emsc-csem.org/. The earthquake was noted as having taken place 10km in depth.
