INBOX: The March For Judaism
It has been over a month since the horrific attacks on Jewish people began. Unfortunately, I have now seen exactly what unfolded in the 1930’s in Europe. Yes, there is a huge difference between then and now, but there is also plenty in common.
This week we have a once in a lifetime opportunity, an opportunity to show unity and Kiddush Hashem like no one has ever seen of the Jewish people in nearly a century. It is because of that reason, and the fact that you are reading this article, if you can change your Tuesday plans to attend the March in Washington, you should absolutely unequivocally do so.
Yes, it is inconvenient. Many good things in life are inconvenient, but that didn’t stop you then, so it definitely shouldn’t stop you now. People are making the effort to fly in from all over America, we are only a four hour drive away, not much longer than a drive to the colonies in the summer.
The Beis Din of Crown Heights has even written publicly about their support. Every Jewish school with the means available, should absolutely make it happen. For those who say they rather learn Torah, you can do that too! For those who say each to their own opinion, I say you are Jewish too!
One of the main reasons for this rally is to show there is no place for Antisemitism. If we don’t show our support for that, who will?
Sincerely,
A Simple Jew
