He Called Because He Cared

It was a familiar voice on the phone every year. For decades, the legendary Rabbi Yosef Rosenfeld, longtime executive director of Oholei Torah Education Institution, would always take the time out of his busy schedule to call hundreds of people for support in the Oholei Torah annual fundraiser. Although his responsibilities were vast, he knew the impact of every fundraiser and the difference it would make to the Chinuch of thousands of boys each year. So he picked up the phone and dialed, going through hundreds of phone numbers to reach out to as many as possible.

He called because he cared.

Rabbi Rosenfeld passed away shortly before Rosh Hashanah this year, leaving a legacy of devotion to Chinuch according to the Rebbe’s Horaos. He dedicated his life to ensuring a Chinuch Al Taharas Hakodesh for thousands of Talmidim. The impact is immeasurable, with many of these Talmidim now Shluchim and community leaders around the globe.

Let’s continue Rabbi Rosenfeld’s legacy.

Let’s make him proud and emulate his devotion to Chinuch.

Oholei Torah is amid its annual fundraiser, reaching out to parents, alumni, and community members for support.

So many of us can recall Rabbi Rosenfeld’s voice on the phone from past fundraisers, encouraging people to support a Moised dedicated to Timeless Chassidishe Chinuch.

Rabbi Rosenfeld understood the needs of this generation.

He understood the challenges and the urgency.

That’s why he picked up the phone.

Now more than ever, it’s imperative that our youth have a strong foundation to go out into the world as proud Chassidim of the Rebbe.

Let’s remember Rabbi Rosenfeld’s dedication and continue his legacy.
