With Voting Booths Opening In The Morning, Over 10,500 Crown Heights Residents Receive Call To Action

by CrownHeights.info

A call to action was broadcast to over 10,500 Crown Heights residents today with voting booths opening in mere hours. The race is tight, and every vote counts.

“Our Yeshivas are under attack, anti-Semitism is on the rise, we must vote for Lee Zeldin,” Rabbi Shea Hecht of the NCFJE said in the message. “He is the man that will protect us, he is the man that will help us.”

The tight race, which critics are likening to the 1994 Governor race which Republican won, pits Democrats and Republicans with hardline cnadidates.

A favorite amount the Orthodox Jewish Communities is Republican Lee Zeldin, who has snagged nearly every major endorsement in the Frum world.

On the other side is incumbent Governor Kathy Hochul, whose initial commanding lead in polls has dwindled into slight trailing of her republican competitor.

Within Crown Heights, the major Crown Heights United organization has endorsed Lee Zeldin, bringing over 40 signatures from Rabbis’. activists and leaders and leaders across Crown Heights, Remsen Village, East Flatbush and Brownsville.

Kathy Hochul received endorsements from two members of the Crown Heights Jewish community, Chanina Sperlin and Devorah Halberstam.

The Crown Heights Jewish Community Council, generally tasked with intergovernmental and community activism, has remained silent throughout this election process. While they are legally not allowed to endorse, they are allowed to participate in voter education and activism, at which they appear to be missing in action entirely.

this from the sane guy that told us to vote for Andrew coumo all 3 times amd the guy who waited to make sure Zeldons poll numbers looked good before he endorsed

Rabbi Hecht is still taking tremendous risks even if he endorsed ‘late’. Most likely the dems will still be very powerful in NYS and his open embracement of Zeldin won’t win him any favors. We should thank him for his guts.

The Crown Heights Jewish Community Council is a tax exempt 501c3 organization and is prohibited from political activities. There is a CH Political Action Committee totally separate from the CHJCC and indeed missing in action.

CHPAC’s silence is a signal that they can’t publicly take a position against the Democrats but they also aren’t supporting them this time around.

    Go Zeldin!
