Sefer Torah Missing From Crown Heights Shul, Investigation Underway

by CrownHeights.info

An investigation is underway in Crown Heights as a local Shul searches for a Sefer Torah discovered missing last week.

The Persian Center on Eastern Parkway discovered the missing Sefer Torah last week, and immediately began putting out inquiries as to its whereabouts.

While the Sefer Torah may have been stolen, it is also possible that it was simply borrowed without properly informing the shuls administration.

With no response to inquiries from within the community, an investigation into the possibility that it was stolen is underway.

The Sefer Torah is describes as having two Atzei Chaim and red Mantel. If you know the whereabouts of the Sefer Torah, please reach out to the Persion Center at 718-778-3100.

A bit more information! Sefardi? Ashkenazi?
What is on the mantle? Inscription?
    Hope they find it soon.
