“Shmuel’s Shabbaton” Campaign Begins in Oholei Torah Mechina

The Eighth grade of Oholei Torah, known as the Mechina Division, is in the midst of an exciting Mivtza called ‘Mivtza L’chtachila Ariber’ which encourages each talmid to give above and beyond in three categories of a bochurs yeshiva life = In Shmiras Hazman – holding dear each and every moment in yeshiva – , in Conduct – being exceptional in interactions with others, and in Test Results -knowing the subjects well and doing even better on the tests.

In addition – each Bochur is encouraged to make a cheshbon hanefesh – where he is holding in his personal avodas hashem, and with the support of his mashpia – a bochur takes hachlotas tovos, to improve where he feels he needs it most.

The campaign began 30 days before Yud Shvat and runs till Purim Kattan.

For those who partake in this campaign, will be rewarded with a special weekend called Shmuel’s Shabbaton, which is sponsored in memory of Shmuel Karnovsky a”h, by his parents Osher and Rivkah.

Shmuel was a Talmid in Oholei Torah in the 8th grade Mechina, and Shmuel excelled in all these aspects.

The Shabbaton will take place in a resort hotel in upstate New York – where the entire resort will be solely for the Oholei Torah bochurim, counselors and staff.

The campaign is run by Rabbi Chaim Yisroel Wilhelm, Menahel of Oholei Torah Mechina and Rabbi Yossi Bryski.
