Beth Rivkah Headstart Teachers Toe-to-Toe With Administration Over Vaccine Mandate, Deadline Looms

It’s coming for everyone, and now it’s Beth Rivkah’s turn.

A vaccine mandate that affects all federal workers takes effect this coming Monday, and that means that Beth Rivkah Headstart is “under the gun”.

The federal mandate has been in the works for months, and the Headstart staff, including all teachers, therapists, and administrative staff, had been informed weeks ago of the impending requirement.

Beth Rivkah sent out a reminder to the staff on Thursday, informing them that they will face termination should they not be vaccinated by Monday morning. As an incentive, the school has offered a $1,000 bonus for being vaccinated. Desperation anyone?

With the deadline looming it remains to be seen how badly the Beth Rivkah Headstart program will actually be affected, or if the remaining staff will cave to the pressure.

Other vaccine mandates have previously affected schools in Crown Heights, with each school acting differently. Ultimately, no schools have yet closed over the mandates.

    It’s not poison. It won’t kill you but may keeping your job and educating Jewish kids is worth getting a vaccine. Hey. 80% (around) made the right decision. We are smart. Which side are sheep? . Least I and my entire family sleep well and did the right thing.

    The “right thing” is to ask your own doctor and follow his instructions. Doctors tell many people to vax, but some people not. How did you get that “80%” as the number who did the “right thing”?!? Did you survey who asked their doctor, who didn’t vax against their doctor’s advise, who DID vax instead of asking their doctor?!?

    This is false. We were never told we will be terminated.
    No one knows what will be. They did offer an incentive of $1000 but they never said we will lose our jobs.
    Many teachers are unsure of what they will do but they definitely want to stay in the Rebbe’s mossad teaching our children.

    This is complete fake news. Beis Rivkah is not offering $1000. Its offered by the government and they informed the teachers as such. The teachers that are getting the shot should not lose out on the $1000. They also said very clearly they are not mandating or forcing anyone to get it. Lets not spread fake news!
