Major Flooding Reported In Crown Heights, Including 770

Water may be the sign of a bracha, but it also has its time and place.

Multiple locations within Crown Heights have flooded as rain continued to batter New York City, despite the shchuna’s higher ground.

Included in the locations that were flooding are the 770 main shul, with flood waters inches deep in the main foyer and spilling down into the basement.

Lubavitcher Yeshiva Crown Street also faced an indoor flood, as water from the roof broke through a sealed drain and poured into the lower level, flooding the downstairs entranceway.

The rain is expected to continue throughout the night as the remnants of Hurricane Ida pass over the city.
